megorot
BY TODD MCMILLAN
Megorot explores the spiritual and philosophical resonance of kite flying as a ritual that bridges the divine, nature, and humanity. Through a poetic and existential lens, McMillan uncovers the often-unseen layers of reality, meditating on the tension between comprehension and surrender, tradition and change. In this interplay, the kite becomes both subject and symbol—a gesture of freedom, aspiration, and the enduring human desire to transcend the limits of the visible world.
A special opening performance by Sanggar Nata Swara, led by Kadek Janurangga, will feature a 20-minute composition by Putu Septa—evoking the movement and sensation of flight through sound.
