OMAH – discourse on where you are from

What are boundaries and borders? How are we defined by where we stand or where we make a home? Can the notion of home move from the visceral to the esoteric? The comfort of personal space dives deeply into our sense of self and identity. “Omah” – it asks a fundamental question; where do we belong?

For this event Taksu has curated 15 diverse artists from within the Indonesian archipelago, who represent the varied artistic disciplines of the country. In a country of 17.000 islands, the question of home and belonging is challenging that calls for introspection into the space we hold. “Omah” seeks a dialogue on the architecture of identity.

“Taksu” is a Balinese word that evokes the energy of the visible and the blessings of the invisible. Taksu is a cross-pollinating platform for local creative expression.
