The exhibition is an invitation to take on the dialogues on painting through Syakieb Sungkar’s artistic perspective. He laid for us the dialogues by rendering visuals of everyday moments with humors and without any intention to lead us towards certain narrative but to capture the painterly aspects of the works. The paintings are his reimagining inspirational works by tapping into his personal expression that sets forth the prominent experience for the audience, which is revisiting the honesty of painting as a painting.
